Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child is gifted?+

Giftedness looks different in every child. Common signs include intense curiosity, advanced vocabulary, a need for complexity and depth, creative problem-solving, and emotional sensitivity. You don’t need a formal identification for tutoring — if your child consistently needs more challenge, these sessions can help.

Do you offer virtual sessions?+

Yes. Virtual sessions are available via Zoom for any session type. They work especially well for one-on-one tutoring and consultations. I use interactive digital tools to keep sessions engaging and hands-on, even through a screen.

What is your cancellation policy?+

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full. I completely understand that life with kids is unpredictable, and I’ll always work with you.

What should my child expect in a session?+

Sessions are active, engaging, and fun. Expect a mix of thinking challenges, discussion, creative activities, and problem-solving. I tailor every session to your child’s interests and challenge level. There are no worksheets or busy work — just genuine, deeper thinking.

How many sessions does my child need?+

That depends on your goals. Some families book a single assessment to get a roadmap. Others commit to a weekly summer schedule. There’s no minimum — we’ll figure out the right cadence together after our first conversation.
